Fenestra Pendant
Description
Fenestra
Gothic Cathedral Window Pendant in Sterling Silver
A Gothic church window, rendered in sterling silver. Hand sand-cast in the atelier, the tracery form is held in solid metal: the arch, the intersecting ribs, the open interior framed by the silver around it.
The negative space is as deliberate as the metal. Both are the piece.
The finish is satin to matte. The surface holds light rather than reflects it.

Materials and Process
Cast in .925 sterling silver using sand casting. A model is pressed into fine-grained sand to create a mold. Molten silver is poured in. When the metal cools and the mold is broken away, what remains is shaped by fire, gravity, and the memory of the original.
No two sand-cast pieces are identical. The surface carries the texture of the process.
Ethical Sourcing
Silver is either recycled or sourced from Responsible Jewellery Council-certified suppliers.
Care
Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear. Avoid chemical cleaners. If tarnish develops, use the polishing pad provided, or let the patina deepen naturally.
