Description

A narwhal horn grows in a single, unbroken spiral. Thick at the base, tapering to a fine point, striated by the force of its own formation. This ring follows that same logic.

Hand-carved in wax, pressed into fine sand, and cast in molten sterling silver, the Narwhal Wrap Ring thickens at the crown and tapers toward the shank. The twist is not decorative. It is structural: the natural result of the form meeting the process.

Every sand mold is destroyed in the pour. The sand is packed, the silver is poured, and the mold does not survive. What remains is this ring, and no other exactly like it.

How It Is Made

Sand casting is one of the oldest metalworking methods still in use. A hand-carved model is pressed into fine casting sand to create a mold. Molten .925 silver is poured directly into that mold. When the metal cools and the sand is broken away, the piece is revealed: surface texture, form, and all.

The result is a finish that is neither perfectly smooth nor artificially rough. It is the honest record of the process.
