Description
Moon Disc Pendant in Sterling Silver with or without Gemstone
A silver disc, approximately 25mm across, with the uneven surface that sandcasting produces. The finish is left as cast: raw, slightly grainy, with the subtle topography the process leaves behind.
The stone, when present, is placed into the sand mold before the silver is poured. The molten metal surrounds it. The result is a stone held flush within the disc, secured by the metal itself, sitting where the process placed it.
A rim may appear at the edge, a natural consequence of the mold. It varies with each pour.
This pendant is simple and substantial at once.
