The Silver Grid Cuff is hand-fabricated from flat sterling silver bar stock, shaped into a precise open grid. Two curved rails frame three vertical bars, creating a composition that recalls Mondrian's geometry: deliberate, balanced, uncompromising.

Each cuff is made by hand using fire and hammer. The silver is cut, shaped, and soldered with precision, then brought to a high polish that catches light across every bar and rail.

PRODUCT STORY

Valerie Michelle Wilhite Ramírez began this piece based on the hombre murcielago of pre-columbian gold work. As you will see, pieces that inspire are not reproduced. 

Trained in the Colombian Andes and shaped by years of scholarship in the pre-modern Mediterranean, she wanted to honor the history of metalwork in the region.  And yet, when engaging with metal, seeing lines and textures form and shift, Valerie moves with the metal. The result is often a surprise to her. But, truly her always. 

What emerged is a cuff that carries the memory of that ancient figure without wearing its face. Structure. Openness. The grid as a body. Silver as endurance.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Store in a soft pouch away from moisture. Polish with a soft cloth to maintain the high-polish finish. If dulled or lightly scuffed, polish with silver polishing pad provided. Remember to allow perfumes and creams to dry fully before putting on jewelry. Avoid chlorine and bleach.
