Leaping Hare Sterling Silver Pendant – Colombian Emerald, Ancient Coin Inspired

Leaping Hare Pendant — Sterling Silver with Colombian Emerald Inspired by an ancient coin from Massana. This pendant was hand-carved in wax and then cast in sand by pouring molten sterling silver into the space left by the wax when impressed into the sand. Its design is based on an ancient coin motif from Massana, where the hare symbolized vitality, intuition, and renewal. The pendant features a leaping hare framed by raised details that evoke lunar or celestial markings. A small Colombian emerald is set at the base — a bright green contrast against the oxidized silver. Each mark, line, and curve was shaped by hand — from the initial wax carving to the final polish — giving this piece its subtle irregularities and tactile finish. It carries the spirit of something both unearthed and alive.
